• Step 4:

• Step 5:

  After receiving the kpsc login id and password details the candidate is requested to process for filling in further details,like, select the job that he is applying for, fill his religion and the category that he is applying in, and all the further details required related to the eligibility criteria.

  Afterward, The next step is to upload all the remaining documents like photographs, signatures, and caste certificates(if the candidate is belonging to SC/ST caste). so it is important to get hold of them before applying to the post.

Exam Pattern of Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC)

Stage 1: Preliminary Examination

The first stage of obtaining a job in the KPSC is to go through the exams and the first in the line is the Preliminary Examination.

In prelims exams, all the questions appearing are multiple-choice.

• Firstly, The prelim exam consists of two papers.
• Both the question paper consists of Multiple Choice type.
• However, the marks obtained in the prelim exam are not counted in merit. this exam is taken to identify a suitable candidate.
• Each paper is for the duration of 120 Minutes.
• However, 0.25 or 1/4 marks are deducted for each incorrect answer, which means for every 4 wrong answers 1 mark from the obtained is being deducted.

Stage 2: Mains Examination

The Second stage of KPSC is the Mains paper, the candidates who have qualified in the prelim exams are only allowed to write this exam, under this exam the question is more of a descriptive type.

• Firstly, in the mains, Each question paper will be for 180 minutes.
• KPSC Main consists of a total of 9 papers under which the first 2 papers are of language, however,the language paper is in their respective languages.
• Finally, KPSC Paper consists of a total of 1750 marks and the Mains has a total of 9 papers.

Stage 3: Final Interview

The final stage of the recruitment is the interview phase, under which the Candidate needs to face the Judges in a face-to-face meeting.

• The interview is basically to analyze the mental stability, decision-making, and social skills of the candidate.
• However, most of the questions asked in the interview are related to current affairs and national-level events to check his alertness and mental alertness.
