RCF Recruitment 2023 – Opening for 550 Technician Posts

For the recruitment of 2023, Rail Coach Factory (RCF) has just released the most recent announcement.

In India, the Indian Railways offers apprenticeship training opportunities for individuals interested in pursuing a career in the rail industry. The apprenticeship program typically lasts for one to two years and covers various trades, such as diesel mechanical, electrical, fitter, welder, and carpenter, among others. The program combines on-the-job training with theoretical knowledge imparted through classroom instruction. Upon completion of the program, successful apprentices are certified and may be eligible for employment opportunities with the Indian Railways.

RCF is an Indian Railways coach manufacturing division that was founded in 1985. RCF has already carved out a space for itself in the industrial landscape of the nation as a whole and Indian Railways in particular. RCF produced its first coach in March 1988 and has since grown to be the largest and most technologically advanced coach production facility for Indian Railways. Currently, more than 39,000 coaches made by RCF are crisscrossing the entire country. This fleet, which includes AC and Non-AC coaches for Broad Gauge, is being expanded by RCF by more than 1500 coaches per year. Modern CNC machines and a CAD centre are available at RCF for the design and production of bogies and shells (both with stainless steel and corten steel). FRP interiors tailored to customer needs.

Online applications in the required format are being accepted in order to hire 550 Act-Apprentices to teach the following trades at the Technical Training Center, Rail Coach Factory (Kapurthala), in accordance with the Apprenticeship Act of 1961. The authorised website www.rcf.indianrailways.gov.in of Rail Coach Factory, Kapurthala is where qualified candidates may submit their online applications on the specified proforma by 04.03.2023 up to 24.00 hours. This connection will become inactive at 24.00 hours on Wednesday, March 4, 2023.

Education & Qualification

Candidates must have earned a passing grade in either the 10th or ITI from a recognised Board or University.

Eligibility Criteria

The candidates should have completed 15 years of age and should not have completed 24 years of age as on 31.03.2023.

For Persons with Disability, upper age limit is relaxable by 10 years.
Upper age limit is relaxable by up to additional 10 years for ex-servicemen.

Mode of Selection

Selection will be on the basis of merit list prepared of all candidates who apply against the notification.
In case of two candidates having the same marks, the candidates with older age shall be preferred. In case the dates of birth are also same, then the candidate who passed matriculation exam earlier shall be considered first.
